HI,

I am new to this group. I have a 30 month old boy who has not been diagnosed as

Autistic. They have told me he has SPD and Apraxia. Apparently he shows too

much joint attention to get the diagnosis. One thing that he very much has in

common with other kiddies on the spectrum is the digestion issues. We know he

has problems with yeast and colostridia. He is either constipated or has blow

outs. We are seeing a new Doc. He is a DAN Doc who was also a family Doc in

his native Germany for 23 years. He is helping us out a lot. One thing we are

trying, and I did not find out about this from him, is a product called

Nutriveda. I was on a group for Apraxic kids and one of the ladies tried

this on her son and saw huge surges in his development. One by one all the

mommies started trying it. It became hard to deny that there wasn't something

to it. These Apraxia kiddies tend to also have gut issues. Their parents were

reporting changes in gut issues, more eye contact, and more speech. I too

noticed big differences in my son. I did go off of it to start the SCD diet. I

wish that I never stopped it. My son regressed terribly on the diet. I know

this is to be expected but things were not improving. We gave it 2 months. I

finally stopped the diet. I gave it all a break with the exception of the

homeopathic drops from our DAN. So, now I have started again with Nutriveda and

am seeing amazing improvement. Way more talking and eye contact. More

communicative in general. I am posting this as I feel it can really help. If

anyone out there wants more info go to the Apraxia (late talkers) group.

I finally left the group as it became all about NV! Please read the posts.

Truly amazing! I wish I had never stopped. This product is sold as an Aurvedic

weight loss drink. The Deepak Chopra centre endorses it. It is whey based but

is sold as GFCF. Apparently whey has no caesin in it? Or they have removed it?

Not sure but it is GFCF, says right on it. I was very suspicious, but it really

helps. One thought is that whey boosts glutathion levels. (sorry for spelling,

long day no spell check) Also, it contains tumeric and curcumin, which are

known for their anti inflamitory properties. I thought I would share it with

this board, as these apraxic/spd kids share a lot of the same issues. If anyone

orders it and notices changes please share!

Ann
