Guest guest
I read the book and went to chiropractic neurologist in my area and he confirmed the same thing as the book told me...that my child was left brain strong right brain weak. I started doing the excercises and found a little bit of help with vestibular issues but when I started probiotics and yeast protocol the big issues of hyper and adhd calmed down to the point I did not need the excercises. I read his book, Disconnected Kids. It is very interesting. Does the brain balance program work well with your kids? Any feedback is appreciated! Guest guest
I'm in the process of reading Dr. Melillo's book. Have you read it? If not, you may want to look into it. Recognizing that not everyone lives near a center and/or has the money for the treatment, the book is designed to help you identify the deficient side of the brain and provides exercises--physical and academic--to help strengthen that side. All the best, Robyn From: daisygirl12us <daisygirl12us@...> Subject: Brain Balance Program Date: Monday, October 25, 2010, 8:09 AM Â Is anyone familiar with the Brain Balance program? It's based on a book called Disconnected Kids by a Dr. Melillo. There are franchise centers around the country that evaluate and treat kids using a combination of nutrition therapy, and activities that address cognitive and sensory deficits. They claim they can strengthen the side of the brain that is deficient (left side or right side). It sounds great of course, but is expensive and I don't know anyone who's tried it. I'd love to hear other parents' experiences with it. Daisy
Guest guest
Thank you Krista. Indeed, a while ago we spent a lot of money on vision therapy and we couldn't stay with it because my son wouldn't do the exercises. Even though he's 2 years older now, he's very tired when he comes home from school and he's also very stubborn and willful.
