Can I expect more yeast with ALA? ALA did cause yeast for my kids. I never used DMPS, so I can't compare the two. > 2) I've heard that our kids can smell sulfury with chelation. For my kids, I knew I was finished when several rounds did not produce any changes, and in fact the rounds started causing problems. This was at approx round 100. Can I expect more yeast with ALA? Yes, all chelation causes yeast to some degree. It has to do with moving metals. Have a yeast protocol in place. > > 2) I've heard that our kids can smell sulfury with chelation. I > haven't had that with DMPS, but if it happens with ALA, any advice on how to keep the smell down? My kids do not smell and we use dmsa/ala. I think proper supplementation and appropriate dosing would elminate any such problem. > > 3) Is it OK to use trandermal RLA at night and use ALA during the > day? I haven't been able to find transdermal ALA. NO! Andy has said it's either all oral, or all TD per round. You cannot intermix them. The dosing and absorption rates vary too much. You can however, do one round oral and the next round td. oral works better. > > 4) Is there a way to make a transdermal ALA solution myself? This is > probably wishful thinking, but I had to ask... Some have tried it using skin lotion, but it is questionable as to how strong it is, or how long it lasts. Once you mix ala is is not stable and will become weaker. Same with the stuff mixed by the pharmacy. > > 6) How will I know when we are done with ALA chelation? When your child no longer shows any progress, and the symptoms of metal toxicity are gone. This can take from 1-3 years depending on the age/level of poisoning of the child. > > Thanks in advance for your reply/advice, > > > >
