Guest guest
I have read so much and now tried so much on him and still we are making no progress. My 3 year old (nt with sensory issues) has been chronically constipated since he was an infant. Now I guess it has reached a boiling point. He had an x-ray last week to rule out some things in regards to stomach pain and he is full of stool. I believe he has an impaction and we cannot seem to get in un-stuck. They wanted to do Miralax, but I have read so much bad about it- so they did Lactulose- maybe not great, but better. This was after days of magnesium, vitamin C- taking away constipating foods. I gave him milk of mag too, which always works with me. I have given enzymes, probiotics, cod liver oil. I don't know what else to do. We gave him a suppository- nothing. We have given him an enema 2 days in a row and only got a little diarrhea. He has strained so hard he has petechiae (spelling?) around his eyes. My husband wants to call the Dr., but I fear what they will want to do and how this will further traumatize him. The enemas have already flipped him out. Anyone with something fail proof? Thanks for any help, Laurie
