Guest guest
Hi, Does CLO cause hyperactivity? We are using NN Strawberry Liquid. My son is just a mess!If so, what else can you try? I need to get my son on some DHA, etc stuff. We are also trying to treat suspected yeast issues by cutting out sugar and giving probiotics. Thanks, Susi
Guest guest
Possible that he doesn't tolerate the strawberry so you may want to try a different flavor - or no flavor - to start But for some the EFAs can cause hyper/aggression. Doesn't mean he may not be in dire need of the stuff. Might just mean he cant metabolize it w/o some help (potentially - carnitine, lipase etc etc) and w/o other vitamins/antioxidants in place first. But I would suspect the strawberry flavoring first Josie Does Cod Liver Oil cause hyperactivity? Hi, Does CLO cause hyperactivity? Guest guest
Thank you ! I just bought some EFA chewables for him, they also have Primrose oil in them. He tried them once and took them, then stopped the next day. I tried them - and guess what - they tasted like cherry flavored fish! YUCK! But I will look for another that has Primrose Oil in it. Good Luck to you also, Susi > > i believe my son would benefit from EFA's but he cannot tolerate. tried > many times, different types, with bad results. i have also heard about giving > it to him with something like evening primrose oil and i cant remember the > others. i will research this out and try again. > > vicki > > >
Guest guest
The protocol for introducing cod liver oil to those who are intolerant of it consists of preloading with EPO for 4-6 weeks before adding the cod liver oil back. EPO at 1300 mgs is what is recommended for the entire 4-6 week period before adding clo. Re: Does Cod Liver Oil cause hyperactivity? > Thank you ! Guest guest
Hi, I'm going to sound very ignorant - what is EPO? What does it do? I am going to the Health Food Store today to exchange the EFA's, so I will get that instead and do it for 4-6 weeks. Thanks so much, Susi > > The protocol for introducing cod liver oil to those who are intolerant of it > consists of preloading with EPO for 4-6 weeks before adding the cod liver > oil back. > > EPO at 1300 mgs is what is recommended for the entire 4-6 week period before > adding clo. > > > >
Guest guest
Sorry, EPO=Evening Primrose Oil, it is a good form of Omega 6, which some think is lacking in the kids who don't do well on the cod liver oil, has to be preloaded. My advice, start slowly with the EPO and increase gradually. Re: Does Cod Liver Oil cause hyperactivity? > Hi, > I'm going to sound very ignorant - what is EPO? What does it do? Guest guest
> > i believe my son would benefit from EFA's but he cannot tolerate. My son required mito cocktail and amino acids, especially taurine, and pre-loading with Omega 6 [EPO] before he tolerated anything with Omega 3. I wrote about it here http://www.danasview.net/mar05.htm Dana
Guest guest
My son gets hyper on strawberries. I ordered the Nordic Naturals lemon flavor for him. G. Susi wrote: > Does CLO cause hyperactivity?
