Guest guest
sounds pretty typical of die off. My son had similar reactions. You can always cut the dose down to see if that off sets some of this...good luck. --- Leigh Anne Carson <neilcarson@...> wrote: > Hi everybody, > My 3.6 year old son was diagnosed with ASD only a > month ago so we are > still pretty overwhelmed. Guest guest
This does sound like a typical die-off reaction. The OLE may just be more effective on what you are dealing with in relation to the dose (as in contract to the GSE). OLE (olive leaf extract) can work on viruses too, and what you are describing can be association with virus kill. Or perhaps it is a litte of both. You can look into some of the detox/die-off measures I just posted...and decrease the dose a bit so it isn't so hard on your little guy. Please post how it is going. . P.S. Here is a write-up on enzymes with viruses you can look over, but if you have treated yeast first, it might not be viral in nature at all: http://www.enzymestuff.com/rtVirusStudyReport.htm http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionviruses.htm
Guest guest
Thank you for all of the reassuring replies. My son is slowly improving. His fever is down and he is not as pale as earlier. He has also been doing some adorable creative play. I will increase his vitamin C tomorrow, decrease the OLE a bit, and continue with our epsom salt baths. The links you posted were fascinating . So much to learn... I think I will ask our local library to buy your book Hopefully they will not consider it too " specialized " . I know he has a yeast problem but he may have a viral problem too. He used to have slushy sounding speech and this cleared up within a couple of days of taking enzymes. Then, when we stopped the enzymes for a day or two because his bottom was sore, the slushy speech returned. Once we went back on the enzymes, his speech improved again. I'm trying to get my head around how all of this works. Does anybody know of a canadian source for Virastop? Best, Leigh anne > > This does sound like a typical die-off reaction. Guest guest
Leigh-Anne, I'm getting in here late, but are you using some good probiotics for your son? It sounds like the OLE caused quite a bit of yeast, which is a good sign for our kids. I've been using Candex to deal with yeast and love it. You may want to consider it. I'm from Canada too. I couldn't find VS in Canada so ordered from stayleaner.com, the cheapest place I could find it. Still not cheap but I don't think you'll find too many things are here in Canada. You can also get the Candex there for a good price. I have a document that I put together for people in Canada who are fairly new to autism. I might be of some help to you. If you're interested let me know and I'll email it to you. It may save you some time and work. Glad your little guy is feeling better. Anita > > > > This does sound like a typical die-off reaction. (I am giving > him GSE too, but he has had this fairly often with no reaction.) Definitely consider increasing your yeast protocol. This sounds like me when I accidentally took two OLE capsules at the same time, rather than only one at a time. Because I had to work the next day, I took lots more Virastop enzyme than usual. Fortunately this worked to keep the symptoms tolerable. So based on my experience, I would say it is really pulling viruses. Try reducing the dose of OLE, maybe add half-capsule of Virastop, and increase your yeast protocol. Dana
Guest guest
Thank you for all of the replies. Here is an update: I increased his vitamin C and GSE, and I'm giving him more enzymes between meals. We don't have Virastop and since we are in Canada it would take too long to ship. I have ordered Zyme Prime, No-Fenol, and AFP Peptizyde from Spectrum. I was hoping the Peptizyde would be a strong enough protease to work like Virastop. After each dose of OLE my son becomes tired, pale and weepy. Then, about an hour later, he is fine again. He has a rash on his cheeks but nowhere else now. He is not sleeping well with frequent nightmares and complaints that the blankets or whatever are bothering him. Also, he seems to have excessive salivation...even choking on it at times in bed. Are we still on the right track? Thank you, Leigh Anne > > > > Hi everybody, > > My 3.6 year old son was diagnosed with ASD only a month ago so we are > > still pretty overwhelmed. No DAN! docs here. Guest guest
This statement: " Also, he seems to have excessive salivation...even choking on it at times in bed " seems to be a oral motor delay (or medical issue of the mouth) and I'd see a speech thearpist and they can tell you which one and address the issue with thearpy or she will refer you elsewhere if needed. You can look at her tounge in her mouth and how it moved and if it seems she has articulation issues I'd start the straw program. ( you drink yorgurt and can substitue a shake sometimes..drinking it 2xs a dat through a straw.) Good Luck..It helped me step-daughter...she drools less. Guest guest
Excess saliva can be a histamine reaction in our little ones. Especially since ammonia is a toxin the bacteria clostridia gives off. For us, calcium butyrate sweeps out the excess ammonia, and excess saliva and much of the mood swings disappeared. This was after speech therapy, several dentist and doctor appts., etc. My 3 yr. old went through about 15 bibs a day, just absolutely soaked them. Ammonia is a nasty thing, pickles the brain, might be worth looking into. You might try giving it with No-Fenol enzyme, see if that helps. Dana
