Do you know if you/your son have normal levels of IgA? If not, it is

my understanding that the IgA anti-gliadin response will not be an

indicator of much: insufficient IgA = insufficient response to

stimulus. Our daughter went through a celiac workup when she was nine

and seizures began. She had experienced 3 years of migraines before

the onset of seizures. It was suggested to us that the antigliadin be

done measuring the IgG response. Our daughter had low levels of IgA

and was still eating gluten products at the time. Her IgG antigliadin

levels were marginally high. She went on to a biopsy, which was read

as normal. This did not help us much! The recommendation was that her

diet did not need to be limited. Years later, when seizures got

toally out of control, I took her off gluten and milk products.

Viola! - both of these were her seizure triggers! Now 6 years

later, she still responds to both gluten and casein with seizures. If

they are kept out of her diet, she is seizure free. She had been

through allergy workups, traditional and not so, had a 90 food blood

panel drawn etc. None of this acute sensitivity showed up. It may be

that the dizzy spells are related to gluten/other food triggers, as I

know my daughter's migraines/seizures were/are.
