Guest guest
Hi All, Our DAN! thought it would be best to take a supplement vacation since we were going out of the country for 3 weeks and his minerals were alarmingly low and his gut flora was a mess. Since our semi holiday from supplements, such as TD-DMPS (7 months), B12 shots (10 months), LDN (6 months), and a few other supplements, this is how he is doing. First, his eczema cleared up in a few days. His earwax, which is always pouring out of his ears, cleared up as well. Mouthing has also ceased. His chapped lips are improving. His focus has improved tenfold. He is following directions, taking an interest in other children (boys- he doesn't care for girls), animals, (he played with his Aunt's cat, by getting on all fours and trying to catch her by imitating) and especially people. His eye contact is great and he is " staring " at objects of interest. His is more interested in being chased around the house than his movies. He was GFCFSFCF and off all delayed reaction foods for one year. On vacation his diet has been augmented with additional foods such as rice, potatoes, eggs and bananas. He has had two gluten infractions with no discernable reactions. However, when he had a casein infraction (twice) he had loose stools. He continues to take Houston Enzymes trio and Brainchild Vitamins and Minerals (one month) along with GABA, Zinc, and Melatonin. What continues to be concerning is his lack of language and stimming. It has gotten more intense. He is vocal but without out words. A lot of " mmm " and " ateh, ateh, " but some new consonants as well, such as " guh. " Which he has never done before. Some toe walking has returned and arm straightening when he is exited. He is just buzzing and positively happier. I am looking for input or experience that would help us to make our next decision on his treatment. I do want to continue to chelate when we return (one week), but I am unsure of what other approach, if any, should be taken first and in what order. I have a feeling we should concentrate on his yeast and bacteria issues before we re- introduce TD-DMPS, LDN and B12 shots. ANY input would be greatly appreciated. He turned 3 last weekJ Thanks, Jen B.
