Just wanted to let ya know...I did the ATEC tests on the

kids.....amazing...

Beth scored 30 was 65

scored 31 was 78

scored 44 was 90

This is the results for currant and for the first time....it doesn't

seem like we are getting anywhere...but I guess we are....lol....still

a ways to go for some of the issues we are still seeing..but it looks

promising!!

I realize that these tests aren't perfect....but this gives me

hope...now if we can just get the gut and food issues solved....one

step at a time with Jesus!!!

Gotta sew my buttons back on!!!

Congrats. How long have they been GFCF?

When we first started (Nov 2005), my daughter scored a 68. In January she

was 58. I didn't think that was enough to continue the " torture " (hah) of

GFCF. In March of 2006, we tested her again, and she scored a 17!!!

I knew things were better, but I guess they just changed so gradually, I

didn't notice. :-) She started with m,b,d sounds with vowels for her

language. now, she is able to say 80% of what I ask her to. She is a lot

more undrerstandable, but the Speech Therapist says she is at the 2nd %-ile

of understandability for her age. (almost 6).

We added enzymes instead of the GFCF diet, and in 2 months, she went up to

25.

We eliminated milk products after 3pm, and she is down to 18. Before the

diet, she was very zone-y, had MANY sensory issues, and was VERY moody.

After the diet & enzymes, she is so happy-go-lucky & fun to be around. her

sensory issues are still there, but are sooooooooo much better. I sometimes

forget she has them :-) The only time it's noticeable, is if she is out of

her element (at school, meeting new relatives), she gets VERY quiet,

wide-eyed, and it is hard to get her attention. Other than that type of

situation, she doesn't present as ASD (Unless she speaks.)

I have decided to go GFCF at home, but let her have enzymes while we are out

or visiting people. I love that I live in a smallish town where we have 2

health food stores. Even the regular grocery store has tons of GFCF items..

Makes it easier :-) Eventually, I am thinking of going back gfcf for the

whole family. slowly transitioning.

What other things are you doing with your kids?

We do speech therapy, DMG, Coromega, Nordic Naturals 3-6-9, NN's DHA,

carnosine (doesn't seem to do anything. but figured I'd finish the bottle)

and a multivitamin. I just bought some Super NuThera. so, hopefully it'll

help her out with her speech.:-)
