Guest guest
Here is how my supplements all add up once I got them all entered into my spreadsheet (most are in combinations). This is for a 9yo, 80 pound boy who is not ASD but has mood/anxiety disorders, known aluminum issues, unknown mercury. This is total per day (I try to spread out whatever I can). Guest guest
Zoiks - looks like our supplement list, only longer! The only advice I would give, passed along from our DAN Dr. and other parent experts (I'm not one), is to make sure you give amino acids, zinc, and probiotics on an empty stomach. Give B vitamins on a FULL stomach, or it can cause nausea and, of course, don't give yeast and bacteria killers together with probiotics, or they'll cancel each other out. Oh, and I was told to give calcium away from other minerals, with Vit. C, for better absorption. And another obvious one is not to give minerals on chelation days, if you're doing chelation. Good luck with all these - it's a lot and I know it's tiresome for Moms to have to give their kids this many supplements every day (and for kids to have to gag them down - lol). I've never heard of PABA - isn't that what they used to put in sunscreen? -------------- Original message -------------- From: Stroyan <lstroyan@...> Here is how my supplements all add up once I got them all entered into my spreadsheet (most are in combinations). Guest guest
We give minerals all the time, when chelating and when not. I shudder to think what would happen here if we didn't as we have trouble keeping enough in. Paba is B-vitamin, it has been used in sunscreen products as it prevents sunburn and will even help sunburns heal, but a lot of people found it burned when applied topically. The ony thing I'd say is that it's a lot to do at once. If you started a lot of those at the same time it's going to be hard to sort through if something is bothering him -- several of the things *might be a problem. Have you started them all? How's he doing? Nell

Does he have problems with this dose? > Biotin 116 mcg Try increasing this. > ALA 2 mg Is this alpha lipoic acid or alpha linoleic acid? If lipoic, it would be chelating, but 2mg is a very low dose. You might consider giving him a break from it every so often, to allow his body to rest. Several of the supplements tend to increase yeast, so watch for that. Guest guest
, I'd recommend getting rid of all ALA, even if it's only 2 mg. Save it for a real chelation protocol where you're ready to dose every 3 hours around the clock. Tiny amounts of ALA can still move tiny amounts of mercury into the brain if administered on a schedule that doesn't take ALA's half life into account. Over time this can make your son a lot more toxic. You got a lot of good input from other posts, but I'm surprised no one else has said this yet. take care René > > > ALA 2 mg > > > >Is this alpha lipoic acid or alpha linoleic acid? > > Alpha lipoic acid - there is 1 mg in the Emergen-C packets that he takes. > > >If lipoic, it would be chelating, but 2mg is a very low dose. Lab tests indicated possible decreased b12 utilization. 4mg is 4000mcg. Am I reading this wrong, or is your conversion off? > >Several of the supplements tend to increase yeast, so watch for that. > > Other than a probiotic, is there something > gentle, chewable or powdered, that I can give him > every day to protect him? Candidase or Candex enzyme, or No-Fenol which also comes as chewable. >>Does GSE interact badly with other nutrients. I would not use GSE unless you are actively trying to eliminate yeast. I would not use it for maintenance. Dana
