Guest guest
Mark, we've recently had some very interesting results with homeopathy. I gave my son a remedy while he had a fever, and it not only took care of the fever, it gave us the two best weeks we have had in months and months. Yeast gone - even during chelation, rave reports from school, new skills in several areas. Huge results for us - and this was just a low potency, though perhaps we have found our son's simillimum by accident! We will be working more with a ND who specializes in homeopathy after Christmas. I've been doing quite a lot of research on homeopathy over the last month, so feel free to email me privately if you want to know more about our experience. In the meantime, Amy Lansky's book " Impossible Cure " is a great introduction to homeopathy. I never bothered to read it before now because of my biases, but it is really well written. take care Rene > > What do you all think of it? I have used homeopathic drainage remedies to support my " detox pathways " during chelation and these do seem very helpful. I have used classic homeopathic remedies with mixed results. Mostly these have little effect for me, but two of the remedies I've used (one for emotional issues and one for adrenal issues) were fairly helpful. I once used a remedy (Plumbum) that was supposed to help detox lead. This seemed to stir up a lot of hormonal problems for me (as does chelation, but to a much lesser degree). After that I decided to follow Andy's advice to avoid the metallic remedies or any remedies designed specifically to chelate metals. --

My daughter had a persistent cough that she'd get over and over, and it would last for months, keeping her up at night. This happened just before I gave up on the regular ped for good, so I tried all the drugs she prescribed. None of them worked. In desperation I took my daughter to a homeopath, and the remedies worked. That cough has never returned, and she had been getting it all four years of her life. Guest guest
I do believe there is something to it. I definitely improve with the drainage remedies (these are relatively high concentration, " weak " or gentle remedies). When I run out of them I definitely get more symptoms (headaches, urinary symptoms, etc). And when I start up again, I get improvement. Is it a placebo effect? I tend to think not, but I suppose it is not possible to be objective, even though I try to be as objective as possible. The plumbum remedy did not have an immediate effect, but I had a steady decline for a few months after taking it. Could have been some other unidentified cause. The remedies that worked for me were ignatia, which resulted in a tremendous release of crying and sadness - a desirable thing, since I was someone who was unable to cry for many years. I did not know anything about the remedy before I took it, although I could have subconsciously gleaned some idea of the possible effect from the questions my homeopath asked me (I do not recall talking about grief or sadness or crying, though). Another remedy, gelsemium, caused some brief, adrenal symptoms and then my adrenal fatigue improved a good bit for maybe a month or so. Neither of these remedies were long-term panaceas for me, but they seemed to do something helpful. They were both very low concentration, " strong " remedies. Other " energetic " therapies, such as acupuncture, NAET, and reiki or energy healing, have much more reliable positive effects for me than the classic homeopathic remedies. Not sure if it's considered homeopathy, but I used a flower essence remedy once that had fantastic effects on my mood. -- > > > > > > What do you all think of it? Guest guest
I have had some interesting results with homeopathy. I do think that it takes a highly skilled practitioner to match the right remedy and dose to the symptoms. Skilled people are not always easy to find. The remedies can be tested. There is a dose that will induce symptoms (proving) and a dose that will alleviate symptoms. I have tested remedies and have had reproducible provings often enough that I am convinced. I expect that some day a particle physicist will explain how it works and I won't understand the explanation. I don't think that homeopathy is a replacement for chelation for a poisoned person (just like it wouldn't be expected to substitute for a healthy diet and appropriate supplements). I see it as providing more support during chelation. J > > > > > > What do you all think of it? Guest guest
Hi Ed. We have been doing Liver Life and NDF+ since January and just before that we started essentioal GSH we are not even at half of the maximum dose and the results a great. His eye contact has improved the most, now when he needs to learn a new word he will look directly at you to see how you pronouce things. He has started to interact with other children in his class, he is praise seeking, asks for things with out being prompted, I could go on and on, but you get the idea. I wanted to take the natural route because I did not want to do more harm. And I also added spirulina because of its high content of protien and other fabulous benifits. I hope this helps. The web add for the above mentioned is www.bioraynaturaldetox.com on there chat page Tami and are great at answering any question that you might have. Simone. > > My son is 2-3/4 and had PDD-NOS and shows typical ASD behaviors, although no obvious GI problems or other physical discomfort. We've not started any biomedical treatments, but have a pending appointment with a DAN doctor to do testing on what might be causing his underlying condition. We did some blood work recently and found out our son has high glutamic acid levels (not high enough though to be an obvious metabolic disorder). We are theorizing, in addition to possible vaccine damage, that he had excitotoxic neural damage from his infant formula (Nutramigen, which has 4x glutens as human milk and significantly higher than any other brand of formula) and possibly some form of secondary hypothyroidism (possibly indicated by his low weight and high cholesterol levels). The blood test also revealed a milk and egg allergy, which we think may have been the proximate cause of the elevated glutamic acid in the blood test and was probably a source of long term stress on his brain. We think there might be a genetic abnormality that causes poor processing of glutamic acid and possibly secondary hypothyroidism. All this we'll see if it's the case when we complete our tests with our DAN doctor. > > My wife has a nutrition background and hence biomedical training. She wanted to see if any other parents who used homeopathy would be willing to speak with her. Although she accepts the possibility that homeopathy could work, she does not want to use it to exclusion if it turns out our son has a thyroid issue or an enzyme deficiency. Based on the parent testimonials, I'm more inclined to give homeopathy an exclusive first try without any other biomedical treatment so that it can be at its most effective. > > We like to see if any parents had children who had diagnosed with specific biomedical problems (such as hypothyroidism, enzyme deficiencies, heavy metal toxicity or the like), whether or not they used homeopathy as the exclusive remedy and what their success was. Guest guest
Hi Laila: thanks for the response ... very helpful information. Sounds like great progress, hope it continues. Your son's condition sounds very similar to mine. How old was he when you started homeopathy? Did you use classical (single dose at a time) homeopathy or sequential? I'm looking into using the Homeopathy Center of Houston, which uses sequential. We're looking into biomed also. I heard on the website of Raphael Kellman, a DAN doctor in NY, that 80% of autistic kids have hypothyroidism, except that it cannot be detected with normal blood tests because the problem is secondary hypothyroidism, which is inadequate responsiveness of the pituitary gland rather than a problem with the thyroid itself. So he uses what's called a " challenge test " , which is to inject one kind of thyroid hormone to see if the pituitary responds. I have a suspicion that my son might have this condition, in part b/c of his low weight. I'll find out soon as I have an appointment with this doctor tomorrow and hopefully will get a full range of tests done shortly. But if it comes out that there's this problem, or some other enzyme deficiency due to a genetic abnormality (also another possibility), I'm not sure if I should rely on homeopathy exclusively in the first instance or combine with biomed. My wife does not want to wait on biomed if there is a deficiency, but I've heard that doing biomed could slow down progress or interfere with homeopathy. Thanks again for the info. Best of luck! > > Hello > > My son was diagnosed with moderate to sever autism. No gut problems but delayed speech, fine motor, stimming, dyslexic vision, lack of eye contact ,low attention span and hyperactivity were major issue. > > We took homeopathy from india,as my parents reside there and in about 2 to 3 months my son showed change in vision, reduced stimming, some eye contact,no more hyperactivity and gained some attention span.his diagnosis changed to high functioning. He also gained language.he took 3 doses of medicine 1 dose of sweet pills every 6 weeks and started to notice his surrounding and sky, could tell us when hurt and from 10 to 15 works he went to speaking 2 to 3 word sentences. > > I am going to look for biomedical approach too as if there are toxins id like to clear that too in hopes for recovery > > Hope this helps > Laila >
Guest guest
Hi Simone: thanks for this information, I really appreciate. I've not heard of it, but it sounds very promising. Great news about your son and wish you continued progress. Could you give me a little bit of background on your son's condition before you started this course of treatment and how old he was, just so I can have a point of comparison? Did he have high metals or any other specifically diagnosed condition that you were targeting with this course of treatment? Also, was this doctor supervised or something you felt comfortable enough doing on your own. Thanks again! > > Hi Ed.
