Guest guest
A history: Born C-section, 34 weeks, slightly jaundice but healthy. Good development, typical for an early baby, sitting up, rolling, walking, etc. Did begin pointing, and started using the word bird infrequently around 13 months untill the MMR at 14 months. Then chronic constipation for 3 months, doubled the fiber, and switched to soy, and then we had chronic constipation coupled with chronic diarrea. Around 18 months, we lost eye contact, arm flapping began. Pointing and communication stopped earlier but did not note the date because I was trying to deal with gut problems. Now: GF/CF/SF for 40 days= noted improvement in eyecontact, stool consistancy Supplements: probioticss (=formed stools), super nu, dmg, clo, glutathione, calc-mag, zinc. Noted improvement in communication (non-verbal) dragging mommy to the swing, or to the door. Lab testing: stool fungal, viral titer, cbc awaiting results My DAN! prescirbed a DMSA trial 25mg 2x daily for 3days weekly, for four weeks followed by testing. I'm afraid. I've heard it's safe, but am not sure if my son is ready for it. I know plenty of people have chelated their children before two, or would if they could, but I am still afraid, and unsure of his readiness. Any encouragement or discouragement would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am sure that some of his viral titers will come back positive, as he has been exposed to fifth disease, HSV, HHV6, and when the results are in I am unsure of what to do. Chelate first and then attack the viral problem or vice versa. Accept my apologies in advance for any ignorance included in this post. thanks, sarah
