Guest guest
I'm new to this group, but I have a question. My 13-year old son is hopefully going to start chelation soon. Is the best protocol to start the DMSA with ALA or DMSA alone? And are there any side effects I should expect to see in the beginning? Guest guest
Check the FAQs of this list. Having dental amalgam removed is considered recent exposure so you need to wait about 3 months to start ALA but can go ahead with DMSA. The protocol is the same whether you have a prescription or not. 1/8-1/2 mg per lb every 4 hrs for DMSA for 3 days and nights " on " and at least as many days and nights " off " . For ALA it's every 3 hours during the day, every 4 at night, again for three days and nights " on " and at least as many " off " . There's a supplement file. S S
I am having the rest of my amaglams out and replaced next week. I
would like to start chelating myself before I try to get pregnant
again. What is the best protocol without a perscription? Can I use
ALA? If so, what is the best type to lookout for? what protocol
should I follow? What supplements should I take along with it?

Can someone lead me in the right direction?

Thanks so much,
budsmom
_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
You could do the Cutler protocol of DMSA/ALA. You can get the DMSA at vrp.com. and the ALA almost anywhere. The protocol is in the files. Barb [ ] What is the recomended Protocol for Chelation via ALA? I am having the rest of my amaglams out and replaced next week. Guest guest
Carla, I presume he has NO mercury amalgam dental fillings? If he has any you need to have them safely removed according to proper protocol before you can safely chelate. What toxic metals are you dealing with? Has he had a hair elements test from DDI with counting rules applied? ALA chelates mercury and arsenic. DMSA chelates mercury from the body and lead. If he has high copper on his hair test you need to get that down before you start ALA. If he's had recent exposure to mercury you need to wait about 3 month for ALA but could go ahead with DMSA. Please be sure to educate yourself on Andy's protocol before you begin. S S
I'm new to this group, but I have a question.

My 13-year old son is hopefully going to start chelation soon. Guest guest
(or Dana), I'm doing EDTA for lead (red zone level) and mercury (yellow zone level), instead of DMSA. I may do DMSA after some chelating with EDTA. Anyway, half life times I've read about 2 hours so I guess I can use similar timing on that? Over the weekend, I did every 3-4 hours. Following what I know of Andy Cutler's method but with EDTA transdermally. I like the idea of rest periods and slower, lower dosing. I was initially diagnosed with high lead though using DMSA urine challenge. I did hair analysis test before I started chelating, not yet received results. --- Shepard Salzer <_Shepard@...> wrote: > > Check the FAQs of this list. Guest guest
I have no experience with EDTA. Are you asking how to add ALA to EDTA, or is this one of those messages which carries an old subject line and totally different content from the original message? Guest guest
It has nothing to do with ALA so subject line needed to be changed. I really don't remember why I asked this as I know you all don't chelate with EDTA and different agents may need different treatment. --- Shepard Salzer <_Shepard@...> wrote: > > > I have no experience with EDTA. Andy specifically recommends not using EDTA chelation for mercury poisoned individuals.
