This was what my son's bms looked like when he was very young, and he ate something not tolerated. Try giving the GSE with No-Fenol, see if that helps. Guest guest
Totally normal, plus thinking she got " gassy " also with the first few rounds. Guest guest
Now what about not pooping for a day? It is our second day of our first round of DMSA and my son has not pooped yet today. He usually goes daily a lot of the time twice (he went twice yesterday), however does skip one day sometimes. I did give him so Oxypowder to see if that would help. Is this anything to be concerned about? He is peeing a lot. Thanks so much. Darci > > > > Hi there, > > > > We just started chelation today at a 1/4 dose of DMSA. Guest guest
I worry about this, but thinking it is a really, big problem if you are using Ala, and you're not as dmsa makes the metals exit via the urine. I do think is important for a child who is chelating to have at least one bowel movement a day and if he isn't I would do whatever it took to achieve that goal. But I'm confused, first post greenish bm, now no bm, which is it? The increased peeing is normal, also signals that you should be encouraging fluids as that may have something to do with his lack of bms. Kids need to be adequately hydrated. Guest guest
My first post was yesterday about the green bms. He finally did have a BM this evening. First one formed and green, second loose and green. I was just glad he went. Thanks, Darci > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > We just started chelation today at a 1/4 dose of DMSA. Guest guest
This happens to my son on dmsa. Increase the probiotics some and maybe his yeast protocol. You want him to go everyday if possible. Skipping one day is not too much worry but you want him to go for sure tomorrow. So give him things to help make sure he will go tomorrow for certain. For my son, missing a bm on a round is yeast increase. > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > We just started chelation today at a 1/4 dose of DMSA. Guest guest
Darci, Your son sounds like ours in terms of chelation/poop reactions! We also get green loose stools and then no stools and then a formed stool and then another loose one. It took us a long time to figure out that this was chelation and not bacteria. We also give things to make him go when he skips a day but sometimes I think his bowels are just resting after the loose one and there is not enough to get out. I give him lots to drink too. Truly, I find the inconsistent poops quite annoying. Hope > > > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > > > We just started chelation today at a 1/4 dose of DMSA. Guest guest
Hi Hope, I too find the inconsistant poo's annoying. Yesterday he let it all out, 3 different times, mostly yellow, and back to greenish yellow today. How did you figure out it wasn't bacteria? That is exactly what I was thinking since I am giving GSE. I too give a ton of water. I try to get 40 ounces a day in him. Thanks for sharing, it's always nice to know what others are experiencing.
