NOT IV. Is there a reason you're not using oral? What did his hair test look

like?

S S

<p>hello,<br>

<br>

My son has done four rounds suppository DMPS (3 days ON, 11 days OFF), and 6

hrs UMT comes back with the following result:<br>

============<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>======<br>

Metals Result Reference<br>

- Arsenic: 69 200<br>

- Cadmium: 3.4 3<br>

- Lead: 1.9 5<br>

- Mercury: 5.1 5<br>

- Nickel: 10 20<br>

- Thallium: 1 1.1<br>

- Tin: 1.2 20<br>

- Tungsten: 0.4 2<br>

- Rest are <DL<br>

<br>

Creatinine: 19 15-120<br>

============<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<br>

I'm really not sure how good it is. To me most of them are in green zone, which

makes me feel this is not good enough and I should seek something else. In his

double dose oral DMSA challenge testing, UMT is shown as :<br>

============<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>===<br>

Metals Result Reference<br>

Arsenic 120 200<br>

Cadmium 1.1 3<br>

Lead: 28 5<br>

Mercury: 21 5<br>

Nickel: 9.2 20<br>

Tin: 5.5 20<br>

Tungsten: 0.5 2<br>

Rest are <DL<br>

============<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>=========<wbr>===<br>

What is gained during past month: He has learned how to jump, and 60% potty

trained (during the day he wears underwear, if he wants to pee, he will go find

a cup and pee in the cup. He still insists poopoo in the diaper). Still no

obvious gain in expressive language, which is a great concern.<br>

<br>

In two days, I will have my son's next DAN! appointment, really not sure what to

do next step, and look for suggestions from the groups:<br>

<br>

- Should I switch to suppository DMSA? <br>

<br>

- I'm thinking to add EDTA. Are there someone doing EDTA + DMPS/DMSA? What is

the schedule?<br>

<br>

- I see other posts, someone had significant gain using IV DMPS/caEDTA, which

seems very attractive. Should I try it?<br>

<br>

- My son GAR has been done by Dr. Amy Yasko. I'm also thinking to do Metal RNA +

Valtrex...<br>

<br>

I feel it is a critical point for my son's treatment, there are quite a few

options on the table. Any comments/suggestion are highly appreciated.<br>

<br>

God bless all our kids and we will do all we can to help our kids.<br>

<br>

Thanks.<br>

So you're dealing with mercury, lead, and arsenic. You'll eventually need ALA

to get the mercury out of his brain. What are you doing to deal with the

constipation?

Yes, I'm dealing with mercury, lead and arsenic. But also I suspect myy son has

aluminum, which is not see n in UMT. Why you said not to try IV? Any negative

experience?

For constipation, I use Dr. Amy Yasko gut protocol for about a month, after

that it is easilly controlled by using Vit-C and Magnesium Citrate.

Wenwei, that would describe about 90% of the kids on this list, too.

Many of us are using oral chelators anyhow, with no problems. IVs and

suppositories are discouraged here because they can be dangerous, aas

well as being needlessly invasive. Unfortunately, a child can have an

adverse reaction to IVs suddenly after previously tolerating them, and

sometimes the regression is longterm. If you would like to know more

about a safer chelation protocol that most on this group would

recommend, you can look here:

Wenwei,

Lots of people have had problems with IV. Please check the archives of this

list for their experiences. You can probably find them by doing a google search

on " IV chelation " . It's important with chelation to dose based

on the half-life of the chelator. I have only used oral chelators (mostly ALA

and a little DMSA).

I didn't follow this group closely. I did read book " Children with Starving

brain " . It says that ALA is added only after the mercury in the bosy has been

cleaned out. Otherwise, ALA could bring new mercury into brain to make the thing

worse. Is it true?

Thanks.

Rene,

Thanks for your pionter. I went to visit my son's DAN! doctor. He recommends

suppository DMSA as it less likely cuase gut issue. If the result is not good, I

will think to try Oral DMSA.

Thanks.

Depends on when the most recent exposure was (vaccines or mercury amalgam dental

fillings, etc) and appropriate dose/dosing schedule.
