Guest guest
Happy New Year All! My 8 yr old ds (3rd grade) has Aspergers, depression, and ADHD; we have had the child study at school and they have found him elible to receive services under " other ...? " -not LD or ED. Anyway, we are having a meeting on Thursday to find out if he will have an IEP or a 504 plan. I am so confused about the whole thing. Can anyone tell me what to expect, what to ask for, and what your child has. Zachary's main problem is comprehending and the surrounding noises when he takes tests and he always complains and sometimes can't even sleep on Wed nights(the night before he has to read his written paragraph to the class). It's kinda bad socially b/c he wants to be friends with everyone but no one wants to. He is already having his tests read to him in another class (of course, right across from the music room) and he is seeing the counselor for group on social skills and anger management. He is an all A and 1 B student but gives us a real hard time with homework (especially math) and he writes REAL BIG so everything can't fit but doesn't give the teachers a prob at all-no behavior probs at school. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. sorry so long
