Guest guest
I'm still new to this group, but I think you'll all get a good kick out of this story about my son Nick ... he's 7 The other day noticed there was a picture of him on an Aspergers website that I was looking at, and he asked why it was there. DH and I have been trying to think of a good way to tell him about his diagnosis since he's so high functioning, so I thought now was as good of time as any. So I told him he has a form of Autism that was called Aspergers, and this is what he said to me. I don't like A**burgers .. I like cheeseburgers with no pickles. But do A**burgers taste the same as cheeseburgers Mommy? I was speechless, as I laughed because I didn't know what to say after that. The kid cracks me up. And when he sees me laughing he starts to laugh as well, but has no idea what he's laughing about! So now when he sees the word Autism he says " I have that! But what's that burger I have again Mommy? " I find it to be both cute and funny, and I had to share this story with all of you! Hope you like it!
