Guest guest
Hi Here's the question: I've read 1/2 cap in the AM and 1/2 cap at night (or 1 whole cap at night) for a 40 lbs child is an appropriate dose of Candex, given with NF. But is this enough? >>>I think so, at least to start with I'm not seeing any die-off symptoms like I did with the Nystatin - which is good. >>>Thats whats supposed to happen (it did with my son but not me LOL) But without die-off, how can I tell if it's working? Aagh! >>Any changes in behaviour? Poops? Now I have a handle on Sams' behaviour is the only way I can tell either way. Incidentally, I'm giving myself two Candex in the morning and two at night and I can feel a difference already (day 3 - seems impossible, but true). >>>Great stuff. I took two the first time and had 36 hours of hellish die off, guess my yeast was worse than yours but yes it does work quick. If I suspect a flare up with Sam during or after chelation rounds usually, I just give Candex for two nights and that does the tricvk but bear in mind I am on my 5th year of trying to beat the yeastie beasties Good luck Mandi in UK
Guest guest
We tried garlic, selenium, saccromyces boolardi and probiotics (while GFCF and using enzymes) to combat yeast. No luck. Could be it was how I was giving them to my son, or when, or in what combination. Then a round of Nystatin worked pretty well. For a while. I'm turned off by Nystatin's potential effect on the liver. So this time we're going with Candex and No-fenol (thanks to all the really bright folks in this group - thanks!). Here's the question: I've read 1/2 cap in the AM and 1/2 cap at night (or 1 whole cap at night) for a 40 lbs child is an appropriate dose of Candex, given with NF. But is this enough? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. -

Now I have a handle on Sams' behaviour is the only way I can tell either way. Hi back, and thanks for the info. It's really helpful and encouraging. We switched from Kirkman Enzymaid to AFP Peptizyde shortly before embarking on the latest quest against yeast, plus he's on hiatus from camp (a socially demanding/exhausting situation). So it's hard to tell what the mildly improved behavior I'm seeing is due to. But I'll take it! I'm throwing a little garlic into his evening mix, so maybe that'll help things along. But it's good to know I can increase the Candex in a while. Thanks again for the help. - in NY
