Guest guest
Hey guys I just had to share...... To give you back ground Ethan is weekly overcoming his autistic challenges...he still didn't like face touching face contact but would tolerate and even enjoy eye contact recently. Yesterday evening after our prayers (we were praying for all of the kids that are progressing like ethan) I asked my daughter for kisses and she kissed me on the lips and turned over and went to sleep. I turned to Ethan (they decided they were sleeping in my bed last night as i was still drying sheets at bed time) and said can mommy have kisses (he usually says no..cause he is answering questions now with no's and yah sure's...he is so adorable....and they lay back smiling) he puckered up his lips like a goldfish and kissed me on the lips and giggled. His anxiety was gone last night for face touching face! I could literally do a jig....if i wasn't afraid of falling on my butt. LOL. Just had to share the accomplishment. I already told you of his residing anxiety over new types of playing, new types of physical activity (the swing, the steps etc), his anxiety over trying a few new foods and now face to face contact.....woo hoo. sorry if this letter is overwhelming but i feel overwhelmed.....with happiness. -Ethan's mom )
