Guest guest
Yes, I have a new book that was just published. It contains 450 coconut recipes. It's titled the Coconut Lover's Cookbook. It contains a variety of recipes using coconut oil, milk, and meat. Recipes include salads, beverages, soups, chowders, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts. There are plenty of ways described in this book to add coconut oil into the diet. The book is available from Amazon.com and many of the coconut oil dealers on the Internet. Guest guest
, First of all welcome. I feel autism is mercury poisoning - so is there degrees of it - well, yes, but I like to think of it as a tolerance level. Dr. Amy Holmes - see her sight - shows the effectiveness rates among various age groups - honestly we don't have a lot of info on adults except for lead studies. After with that said, check out Pat Sullivan's blog - he has a lot of interesting things to say. As for the damage question, I don't think we know how much we can recover - people are taking B12 shots to help with this along with chelation. There is also other things being done for neuron repair...I will let others answer those questions. Kath

Hi , Others here are much more qualified to talk about different degrees of autism than I am. I think that the problems mentioned below can be mercury related because I have experienced them, and heard other toxic people talk about them: > I'm wondering because I've not felt normal my whole life. I have > problems with expressing myself, I've always been anti-social, feel > withdrawn. I have a hard time paying attention to things going on > around me. I made it through school and college with mostly As and Bs too. Mercury does different things to different people because we are all genetically a bit different and we get exposed to different doses at different times during development. There are some common things that seem to happen to lots of people. > I feel like I'm here, but I'm not, kinda like > I'm in my own little world. My mom said when I was a kid I just kinda > looked in a daze a lot of the time and didn't like much to be held. If > this is mercury related....could these problems be permanent? There is always the risk that damage could be permanent. The reports that I have read from people who have chelated (with Andy's protocol and supplements) indicate to me that in many cases the damage can be reversed. There are some reports that came in on the frequent dose chelation group in the last couple of days from people who are busy reversing damage, and it's working for them. Your chances of getting well are huge because of your age and because the protocol takes the toxins out slowly and provides the materials that your body needs to heal. I am twice your age, have probably had the mercury in me twice as long. My chances are not as good. But even in the short time that I have been chelating I have already reversed some problems. > I'm so > scared that I'll never be well.... Speak back to fear and tell it that you will be well. Then try to find something positive to think about (and to do) to displace the fear. J > Thanks for any input. > >

Guest guest
,
Welcome to the list. Autism Spectrum Disorder: it's a spectrum. Asperger's Syndrome is generally considered the " high " functioning end of the spectrum. There's a book by Liane Holliday Willey entitled " Pretending to Be Normal " It was only after her daughter was diagnosed on the spectrum that she realized that she herself has Asperger's. You might find it interesting. Several of the parents on this list consider themselves on the spectrum though I'm not sure how many if any have official diagnoses. Shore is an adult with Asperger's who has written several books. I haven't had a chance to read his yet, but they might also interest you. There's an organization called AANE (Asperger's Association of New England) that could provide info. http://aane.autistics.org/ They will send you an information packet. Please be aware that many of the adults on the spectrum and the organizations do not beleive in or discuss recovery efforts but focus on understanding, educating the public, and accomodation.
S S

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Guest guest
If it is Asperger's or Autistic Spectrum Disorder do you just have the psychological symtpms or do you have all of the physical symptoms of mercury toxicity, including the hormone imbalances. I have a long list of symptoms that include thyroid, adrenal, and candida related problems. Thanks, > > > ,
Welcome to the list. Autism Spectrum Disorder: it's a spectrum. Guest guest
, Mercury toxicity looks different in different people. It often looks like autism or Asperger's, in others it looks like Alzheimer's, in some like MS or CFS, in some like clinical depression. Issues like auditory hypersensitivity, tactile defensiveness, desire for routine and sameness are often seen. If you are chelating using Andy's protocol you're heading in the right direction. Did you have a DDI hair analysis done and apply counting rules? What did it show? Sometimes there are other toxic metals (arsenic, antimony, lead, etc) that need to be addressed. For many there are also yeast and viral issues which need to be addressed. Are you on a special diet? Sometimes gluten, casein, or phenols are a problem. Not in my experience. The hard part is finding out what your body needs. For example, ALA chelation was very beneficial for my kids, but it was the supplements they tolerated AFTER chelation that caused the most improvements. And figuring out which supplements those were, was most of the difficulty. But once I figured it out, things really started improving. Guest guest
, It's very possible. Keep chelating and supplementing well and drinking lots of water and giving yourself breaks periodically and find out for yourself! Barb [ ] hello-new here > Hi everyone, I'm new here.
