If it were me I wouldn't. I'd be happy that maybe the GSE seems to

have worked. You did say grapeseed, and not grapefruit seed...

Same as if your son recovered from an infection on his own, you

wouldn't then give antibiotics when he doesn't need them.

Sorry, Mark, I disagree. I don't think antibiotics and enzyme-based

yeast fighters like Candex are quite the same.

, are you chelating? If you are (or plan to), you'll probably

need an ongoing, day-to-day plan to fight yeast. I would definitely

consider (very slowly) adding in Candex to your regular yeast

protocol. It is effective, and doesn't seem to affect good flora

already established in the gut via probiotics, etc.. Many people use

it long-term with very good results, though a number do need to bring

in more aggessive measures when yeast gets out of hand.

Having said all that, my son gets diarrhea from Candex, at least for

now. It came on quite quickly after several months of regular use,

so I'm unsure what the trigger was. I asked onlist if anyone else

had ever had this happen, and no one said that they had. I also

checked Autism Mercury's huge archives, and didn't find any other

references to a Candex-diarrhea connection. I can only assume that

my son's situation is quite unique. Since going off Candex I have

found out how well it worked for us; we've definitely got yeast

issues now.

take care

Have you tried Candidase? Since it is a differenet formulation,

perhaps if would not cause the diarrhea for your son. We have used

both Candex and Candidase and for us the Candidase actually works

better at fighting yeast.

I've never herd of that, but others with more experience may have. I

have heard of GSE causing diarrhea. Yeast commonly causes

constipation, though. Judging from your posts yesterday, I'd guess

that yeast may still be a problem, even though some of the symptoms

may have subsided..... but, again, I'm not a yeast expert. I hope

things get better soon for your son. Maybe that Candex will help.

Have a good night

Great!

It is often used as a preventive. Especially if you are doing

protocols that tend to increase yeast, you might consider using it as

preventive.

Grapeseed is an antioxidant. Grapefruit seed is an anti-fungal.

This sounds like it is helping eliminate a yeast problem, and yeast

can cause constipation.
