Guest guest
My son (5 in June) is aging out of EI and our school district wants to send him to Dr. Elliot Grossman for a neurological exam. Does anyone have any experience with this doctor? I'm concerned because while the school district agrees that my son needs support next year, they claim that he no longer fits into one of the eligible classifications. For example, they claim he is no longer " communication impaired " because he is not at the bottom 10%. I want my son to receive the services he needs but I don't want him labeled with a diagnosis that is not appropriate. I'm going back to the school district because my son was examined by Dr. Agin and, in my opinion, her report should be sufficient for services. I'm trying to get in for a re-evaluation before the end of the school year but am dependent on a cancellation (poor planning on my part). Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks, Bernadette
