Guest guest
Hi, I don't think the Nutriveda is constipating your son, I think it is the start of potty training. My son is 3 and 2 months old and has been 100% pee trained since a week before his 3rd birthday. Just like your son he poop on the potty in the beginning but then started holding his poop in, to this day he only poops in a pull-up and not on the potty. Since he is so good with the pee ( he will take himself and goes 11 hrs. at night with not needing to pee) I feel when he is good and ready he will poop on the potty. The tricking part for us is getting him to ask for a pull-up when he needs to poop. It is a crap shot getting the poop in the pull-up instead of the underware. He only poops once a day or sometimes every other day so it is not a big deal. I have tried everything to convince him to poop in the potty but emotionally he is not not ready. I understand from a lot of people, doctor included that this is very common for little boys. Good luck and don't stress too much about it. Hi -- my three year old son has been on Nutriveda since March 10th. Before Nutriveda, both of my kids have always had loose/not formed stools. We have evaluated many metabolic things, gluten, etc. No clear explanation yet. Still working on it... but for the first time... my son has been constipated for the past three days. Coincidentally -- or maybe not -- we have also started potty training. He went #2 for the first time in the potty on Easter Sunday and did the sign for " boo boo. " Ever since then, he hasn't gone in the potty. I think he went once in a pull up since then but then the past three days... no output. I gave him prune juice last night and this afternoon and still waiting. Does anyone else have a toddler on Nutriveda with the same issue or do you think this could be more of a potty training issue??? We use big boy underwear during the day and put a pull up on for nap and nighttime.
Guest guest
My son is 3 and super skinny and a horrible eater. When I started NV, he would only go once every three days for about a week and a half. And when he went it was huge and probably hurt going out. I upped his juice intake in hopes of moving things through better. We are on the third week and he's been going a small poo once a day and then after a few days a huge stinky one. But they haven't been hurting. He also is starting to potty train, but I don't think that is the reason why, b/c he misses more than he gets in the potty. He's still on the half dose b/c he's been complaining of headaches and I don't know if it's pollen (really high now) or the NV detoxing still. Before this he also had loose mushy poo and I was trying to figure out the culprit but never did. Now they are not mushy and hold together better. I use cloth diapers and he's finally got " plop-able poos " if that makes since. Liralen > > Hi -- my three year old son has been on Nutriveda since March 10th.
