I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! You just got yourself the best early Mother's Day

gift!!! And yes it's perfectly normal for there to be regressions in one area

while there are surges in another. Actually it's pretty cool you pointed this

out without him being on nutriiveda because it shows from an organic sense that

changes in behavior sometimes...are normal!

What do you do for sensory issues? You can discuss with his OT and she may have

suggestions for things you can do at home too depending upon the areas affected

sensory wise. I can tell you for my son Tanner those cheap tiny massage

machines, massage pillows -soft fabrics, brushing. The sensory diet

About the surges -anything at all different you can recall? What I try to do

whenever I noticed a sudden surge in Tanner as it's not like I am adding

something new every day is to try to think back of what is different. In the

past as you may recall I noticed a day at the water parks or on the

rides,perhaps stimulation to the vestibular system (or what I like to call " ride

therapy " !)

And while this time the surge in speech, please note that for our children it's

not unusual for there to be a regression in speech when they are first learning

a new skill such as reading etc. It's only temporary.

I know your child is on fish oils but the behavior changes on them like

nutriiveda are only to start. And with surges happening anyway...one may

ask...how do we know these surges on essential fatty acids and/or now essential

amino acids aren't just coincidence?

Because of the rapid surges in both cases (a day to 3 weeks) and the similar

surges. If it was just one child or two, or just ten, or twenty -but at this

point for fish oils it's tens of thousands and for nutriiveda it's hundreds. We

know fish oils or essential fatty acids are pretty well accepted- not much doubt

-but I was around when they were doubted and used to tell parents seeing surges

with therapy alone that fish oils can help accelerate progress even greater. If

one wanted to know if the surges were just coincidental on nutriiveda or fish

oils I still say the best thing to do is stop them -that's when we really know

yes they work!

So I want to say once again -even with therapy, fish oils...and yes even with

surges- nutriiveda takes it up a notch in almost all cases.

Nutriiveda - the surges are all over the place, but also all at once it appears

and sudden; including but not limited to surges in growth, improvements to

strength and motor planning, multi tasking, abstract humor and thought to

sophisticated sometimes beyond their years language production, to eye contact,

increased imaginative play and thought, increased social skills, increased

maturity and focus, improved academics almost overnight in reading and

writing... dramatic enough for phone calls from the teacher in a few cases now

and this is with the older apraxic children some of them teens, for the little

ones -all of a sudden learning to go potty and regularity if older, improved

sleep and wake cycles, improved diet and reduction or elimination of unhealthy

food cravings, elimination of seizures, reduction in meds -perhaps the most huge

and in Mel's case proven that her brain has changed to a normal healthy one in

her doctor's words that there is no other logical explanation

But just like fish oils there were some that never used them- and I'm sure some

won't use nutriiveda no matter what their doctor or anyone else says...at least

for years. But regardless our children will progress one rate or another -and

that's a beautiful thing!

What fish oil brand are you using? I use Nordic Naturals Junior at present. Just

wondering maybe some brands work better for some children.

Oh doing the happy dance for you!! I love it!! It totally reminds me of when my

son started talking after fish oils. And when everyone started understanding

him after 3 weeks on NV. It's so warm and fuzzy and you brought those feelings

back for me.
