Guest guest
Ditto. My daughter acts like Candida heaven. But I MAY have a solution. Three parts: 1) Several dishes, during the day, of about 1/3rd scoop NV, about 1/2 cup of almond (or soy) milk, about 1 rounded teaspoon of finely diced walnuts which I nuke in the microwave for 45 seconds, and 1/2 teaspoon cold-strained (top-quality!) honey. She now loves this. 2) The SCD foods. But my daughter tested drastically low for serum serotonin, so I give her extra meat (unprocessed, of course) -- AND a small amount of whole-grain rice, organic potato, etc. My idea is to add a bit of starch in combination with the amino acids in NV and the meat, so the insulin lures most of them away to where the tryptophan can have easier access to the blood-brain barrier. I add to foods as many of the DAN! supplements as I think NV doesn't, e.g. fish oils. 3) I wait on the sidelines with a full platoon of OTC yeast-controlling things. I stir-fry a lot with extra-virgin coconut oil, I give her SCDophilus, I give her a capsule of S boulardii on those days when evidence of acetaldehyde looms, I have activated charcoal on hand. I take her for long walks in sunshine (well, vitamin D can't hurt, and if I've miscalculated her sugar she's walking off the alcohol). I haven't made bazillion-culture Yogourmet home yogurt yet because I'm a klutz. Can't get her to spit for a home Candida saliva test, but my own shows the dangling strings. I'm avoiding Nystatin and Diflucan for several reasons. Getting a prescription is slow, for one thing. What things have you tried? Guest guest
Hi Tim,  You sound like an amazing dad ! Here is an article I got from another group that talks about Apple Cider Vinegar being good for Candida. Just thought I would pass it on.  http://www.naturalnews.com/025452.html  Demi > > > We have been on Nutriiveda almost 2 months..
