I know however when we spoke you were one of the first to have a child on nutriiveda and nobody I knew had any issues with sleep on it then -very few even still. I mean this makes sense however because while giving fish oils later in the day doesn't matter for some kids -if you check the archives Rothweiler's son would have night screaming (I think you can find it under night terror, screaming) We all then told her to take her son off the ProEFA but she refused because back then we all knew each other and the kids and she saw the incredible surges in the other children and wanted her son to have that too. And she too figured out she needed to give the dosage in the AM. > > So we learned this the hard way that some parents shouldn't give at night...at least to start until they know. > > Glad it's going well now!! Guest guest
Hi , Oh I am certain NV is making a difference for my son... many positive ones, but for us, we are competing with yeast which brings it's own behaviours so it's hard to tease out the behaviours that are NV and the ones that are yeast and then to balance the diet and NV accordingly. Night waking for us has usually been linked to too much B vitamins so I wondered if perhaps the NV had more B vitamins in it or if the combination of nutrients in the NV made the B vitamins more available to my son's system - hence, disrupted sleep. My point for the parents posting about sleep disruption was that we have more going on than just the NV and it was necessary to reduce the NV to a dosage that we saw gains without the sleep disruption. My son has been back to 1/2 scoop for 2 days now and we are seeing a calmer boy, but still engaged and attempting vocalizations; although he is 4 years old, he is very very slight in build/weight and I think 1/2 scoop is all he needs at the moment. We did 1/2 scoop for 4 days at first, then upped it to 1 scoop for 3 days, then 1.5 scoops for 4 days and that's when we saw the worst waking patterns so it made sense to play around with the NV. So we'll keep at it... there are so many good things about NV that we will find a way to keep it up while managing the other gut issues through diet!
