SHeesh! By the weekend, I'm gonna be so overdrawn, my next check may not even cover it! ARGH! I NEVER know when or if I'm going to get any child support. It's been over a month, and Mike's unemployment is going to run out. Back for another review, I guess.... Connie

Guest guest
I don't think HE felt " accepted " . I know I heard once that his mom took the other kids on a trip and left him home. I have heard he was a bit a a " behavior " problem as a teen. His mom always says that he's trying to help compensate because he remembers how hard HE had it. Like it's helping.... >> I had some of the same issues as our boys as a teen too, but it made me understand him BETTER, and want to help him feel accepted at least at HOME. Maybe if Mike understood that his making feel rejected and not accepted there is hurting it would make a difference? Unfortunately, he won't believe it because that would mean accepting responsibility for it. Love Tammy --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Dear Darlene, I am sorry that I am just now responding to your post - I have been off line for a couple of weeks and am just now catching up reading all of the posts. Our dd was diagnosed with AS at age 7. We told her later that year. We used Faherty's book " Asperger Syndrome: What does it mean to me? " to walk through the explanation with her. It is a workbook that explains AS in very nonjudgemental and positive ways. It help me put into words the proper way to explain it to her. She was relieved to find out about it and we are glad that we have told her. I think that the more she learns about herself, the better off she will be. This was our experience - every child and family is different. Hope that this is helpful. Take care. Lydia
