Dr. H Appointment

Hello!!!

Last week we visited a Genetist and he agrees with the RSS diagnosis

for Nicolas. Tomorrow we will receive the whole laboratory tests all

the doctors sent to Nicolas but we think that the diagnosis will end

being the same. Our endocrinologist already gave us the medical

order to begin GH treatment as soon as possible with Nico. He is 19

months but as this whole fight for the treatment with our medical

security ends, he will be almost two years.

I asked our endocrinologist what she thought of visiting Dr. H in

New York (they have shared a pair of emails about Nicolas' case in

the past two months) and she feels it would be very good for us as

she is a expert on the subject and would give us a lot of

information about how to treat Nicolas and how to manage all the

things related to the syndrome. My husband's family says they would

help us with the costs of the flights (travelling from Colombia to

the USA is really expensive!) but we would like to have in mind Dr.

H's fees as we assume it is a high cost. Can anyone one who has seen

Dr. H tell us how effective, useful it has been for the treatment of

you child - taking in mind that the GH treatment will be managed

locally in Colombia? Can anyone tell me how much Dr. H fees could

be? I have asked her a couple of times trough email but she hasn't

answer me so I am afraid that is just a surprise you receive just

after seeing her. I think we definitely need to be prepared on how

much it could be.
