Pickett Update... try #3

H -

Well.. is a fighter.. she's got an awful diaper rash from having

the runs..at least she's not throwing up anymore. I " m afraid she was

exposed to strep today. Now I just have to wait a few days to see if she

caught it. We go to the Shriners Feb 1st to have her turned foot looked

at again. The month of casts didn't turn the foot at all.. so she might

have to have surgery to correct it. Then in March we see the genetic doc

again. We are blessed to have been accepted into the Shriners because of

's other birth defects.... the RSS is being treated for free at the

Shriners also.... We haven't started any meds dealing with RSS yet.. and

I was wondering if she needed any GH if that would be covered thru the

Shriners. Thru all of this is still a very happy baby. She's

always got a smile for a stranger.... she's such a joy. She's a

whopping 10.5 pounds at 7 months, still in 0-3 month clothes.... Hey..

at least I " m getting my money's worth!

My hubby and I are struggeling with his new job. Starting over is hard

and he's under huge amounts of pressure to provide for our family. I

have offered to get a night job.. but he insists to be the one to get an

extra job. I " m trying to do what I can.. by going thru the house,

hunting for things to auction on ebay. I know non of this has to do with

RSS... this is the first time I have 'talked' to anyone about this. It's

embarrassing.... it' s like we are failing in life, no one wants to

admit that. I'm usually optimistic... but that's wearing thin.
