I've heard the goi goi pillow works.  Also try a contour foam mattress or sleep positioner.  I would try a side sleep positioner as well.  During the day instead of placing her in a swing or carrier try one of those contraptions that help her sit up on her own. Can't remember the name of them, but they have them at target. Of course lots of tummy time.  But really try not to wait too long to get the helmet.  We could've started helmet therapy at 4 months, but decided to try positioning.  It didn't help and we wasted 2 months.  And those 2 months were crucial because he had the most head growth during that time and we missed it.  Please keep that in mind.  If you look at charts showing head growth at different ages you'll see that between 4 and 7 months is the largest growth spurt.  Hope this info helps.

I have a 4 month old girl who was just referred by the pediatrician to see a neurologist for head tilt & plagiocephaly. I am awaiting an appointment - is there any advice on what I can do in the mean time to try and correct the problem. I am trying repositioning - has any one tried the support pillows(e.g. mimos pillow)? I will try anything.....
