Dear ,

Hi, I am 16 days post op from having upper moved forward and widened,

and lower moved back 3mm and to the left. I have been wired shut and

really have had a hard time with diet, pain, week after surgery..etc.

Before the surgery my family was still trying to talk me out of it.

But, I'm glad I did it. I'm starving but I'm glad I did it. You

just make sure that you are 100% sure and you will be fine. Instead

of trying to convince them its the right decision just let them knoe

its your final decision and start focussing on preperation and what

you will need of them after surgery. Joining the message board will

give you accounts of worst case scenarios and best case scenarios.

Just remember it is different for everyone but be prepared. Any

questions that I can answer just let me know!

Thanks for for your kind words, not much to share, at my heaviest

i was at 715, was tired of not being the father/husband that i so

desperately wanted to be, so i decided to have gastric bypass, which

has changed my life, Ive had 3ps in 3 year, and a 4th is coming up on

July 21st. I'd do over in a heart beat, i believe that if you try had

enough and are tired of being obese you can change your life, I'm

living proof.

Welcome to this wonderful group. You have done great WOW lost 460, you are doing wonderful. So are you still losing? I know you said you put back on 20, but your not down to goal yet right? You still have a ways to go if I figure right? Ir you where 715 lost 460, you are about 355 to 375 if you gained 20 back? Have you been losing over 100 lbs a year? Just figuring this amazes me. Are you getting around good now? Did you get around when you where 715? Life must of really changed for you, and it has to be so much better. I hope you really keep working on this journey and really take off more weight and enjoy life to it's fullest. You take care and if you have any questions, we'll try to answer. Seems like you have the answers with how well you've been losing. Take care.
