Marla,

You won't have to start over-- they'll just give you the Remicade and then go out the 6wks to the next infusion. If you have any problems with it not lasting through the full 6 wks let the doc know-- so he can schedule your infusions closer together.

I am so glad that the liver is ok-- I know that fatty liver is one of the sarc signs-- but it seems to be medication induced in most of us.

I am still struggling a bit-- wish I could stay home today and veg out, but if I don't go to Chico this morning and get my neck adjusted, my head will fall off---

I am hoping that will find something else to do this weekend, although I really want to drive up Hwy 70 towards Tahoe and check out the colors. They've had a few really cold mornings, so everything should be awesome! I do sleep well in the truck, so it may still be an idea...

So much of the Hwy 70 corridor has been burnt clean--- and I do mean clean, that it is going to be a bad year to be driving this one come winter-- they have a big problem with rock slides to begin with-- and the old Feather River is really, really low. It is one of the most beautiful drives-- as the rocks are all granite and the water has carved them out into some beautiful shapes. I love to climb down and find myself a seat waterside, if furniture would just be as comfortable!

You will be fine without the MTX and that alone will help the liver. The newer research shows that it isn't as necessary as they thought and it can always be added back if you develop any problem-- but I'd insist it be by injection so that it bypasses the liver.

I will catch up with you soon-- I promise.

Love to you,

Tracie

Re: LIVER SARC AND HEP

Pomy, I am so sorry to hear about your wife, I don't think Sarcod can cause Hepatitis (but like said Hepatitis just means inflammation of the liver), so take the blood tests and see. I just found out I have a "fatty" liver due to rapid weight gain, but because my liver enzymes were up they did all kind of tests and the liver biopsy. I know how hard it is, to say don't worry, I tried not to worry, and for the most part I didn't. So hang in there for your wife right now. I tell myself all I have is today, so I will do whatever it takes to get through today. I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

HI' I need an answer asap. I've been having pains as I wrote before in my liver and I have taken a few blood tests. The GP said it might be another flare of liver sarc, so I made an appointment with the liver dr, which is in Nov. Today he phones me up and tells me that it might be a form of hepatitis and I have to take more blood tests. Does anyone know if sarc can cause hepatitis and what type? Secondly, if liver sarc isn't active, can it cause it do to the scarring? To tell you the truth, I am very scarred. I'm going through a lot with my wife, they found that she has uterus cancer and will be operated on soon. I really don't need my problem now! Thanks Voiced Pomy
