MELAS

Hi there,

I have just discovered this group. I was wondering if anyone knows

of any good websites where we might find some useful info on MELAS. My

friend/workmate has recently discovered that her 11 year old daughter

has the condition - she has shown symptons of illness since the age

of 4 but has only been diagnosed in the past 6 months. It's a lot for

my friend to take in.

I have been searching the web for any relevant information. I

haven't come across any support groups until now, goodness knows, my

friend needs support. She is felling really down at present.

If anyone cares to email me, my friend will be able to access my

computer for any support or information.

We live in Scotland, UK.
