Barb,

Your story just chased the last of the butterflies right out of my stomach.

I was getting a little nervous since I'm scheduled for next Wednesday, but

your story is so great it just calmed me right down. Thanks

Hi Cindy,

Welcome to our group. Yes, I have to agree, this is an AWESOME group. I sometimes wonder how I ever got along without them!!!

In case you haven't already noticed, this gang is FULL of info, and sometimes we're full of other stuff too. (LOL!!! KIDDDDDDING!!!!) And when all else fails, the support here is unbeatable.

Happy to have you!! By the way, I noticed your screen name said "Cinloo."

It caught my eye because my youngest daughter, who is 20 months is named Cindy, although we call her "Cindy Lou Who who isn't quite two." :)

See you around here!!!

Hi Pam

LULU.....to be exact and personally...I have always thought how cruel parents can be when naming kids LOL...I never use the name but my kids know it and well.....on a little one like yours..it works...On a 310 lbs 42 year old woman....let's say it leaves much to be desired LOL. Anyway, thanks for the good word and yup, there is alot of info here....Congrats on your date....it will be here soon....and I'll keep my fingers and anything else I can still do it to, crossed....:)

Hello Lenora

Welcome to the group. I am sure you will do great!!!

It's not bad in the hospital. You will sleep alot. Do you have anyone at

home who can help you for a few days? I had two C-sections as well and the

surgery for me was worse pain wise but it seems to be very individual and

some people (actually seems like the majority) get through without too much

pain.

Take a pillow in the car for the ride home to hold against your stomach.

Try to load up on the things you will be eating and drinking when you get

home from the hospital now. You won't feel like going to the store when you

get home.

Don't bother packing much to take to the hospital. You will never use it.

What base (is it station in the Navy?) are you at? My hubby is Air Force

and we are at in Southern Illinois.

Lenora, welcome!!!! Tuesday is so close. When I had mine, I was just

anxious to get daily things done up so that I could rest afterwards, but the

day after I was up and feeling good. Of course, that was lap surgery. Is

yours open? I'm sure it's really tough with your husband away. Do you have

help for when you get home? Help for yourself, and help for the girls? I

was given the guideline to not life over 20# for 6 weeks. That's tough with

little ones. Sending you best wishes, and looking forward to hearing from

you when you get home.

Nora,

First of all....welcome to the losing side! I think you may be

experiencing some " head hunger " . The rumbling you are hearing or

feeling possibly could be your insides moving back into place. I

know I felt and heard (and everyone else heard) when my intestines

were moving back into place. Not to mention when the gas started

moving. Do not give in to the thoughts of hunger. Drink more

fluids. You are at the stage when you should only be on liquids

anyways. Cream soups were good. I would heat them up and strain

them then strain them again to make sure I got all the pieces of meat

out. I also ate alot of SF popsicles at that stage. And yogurt. I

would strain the yogurt and eat about 1/3 of the cup then eat some

more later. When I advanced to the soft stage....I ate alot of

cottage cheese. It went down good and I was able to " mush " it up

really good in my mouth before I swallowed it. Drink as much water as

you can to keep hydrated and this will also give you the full feeling

alot longer. Remember to sip the water and do not gulp. I made the

mistake of gulping and it really hurt!

Did you have open or lap done?

Take care and I am glad that you are home.

God Bless
