Guest guest
I just received Cranaware and want to try it on my son who is 5 and severely apraxic. What dose do I start him at? Should I consult with a doctor, or is it all natural and no potential harmful side effects. We have been doing ProEFA for 3 years now, which has helped with noise production, but my son is 5 and only can say 4 words/approximations. Guest guest
My son has been taking 1 capsule a day for 10 days now. He is 38 mos and 30 1/2 pounds. I am supposed to increase his dosage in 4 days to 2 capsules a day. His pediatrician suggested starting with one capsule a day to see how he tolerates it. I use the Carn-Aware brand and it's 200mg per capsule. I put it on his breakfast sausage (it's barely warm and the powder dissolves into the oil in the pre-cooked breakfast sausage) or his cocoa (again tepid). I searched here and another mom gives her son 4 capsules a day and he is 5. Two in the am and 2 in the pm. Best wishes, Debra > > I just received Cranaware and want to try it on my son who is 5 and > severely apraxic. What dose do I start him at? Guest guest
I forgot to mention the Carn-Aware site mentions 2 capsules twice a day: http://www.carn-aware.com/about.htm > > I just received Cranaware and want to try it on my son who is 5 and > severely apraxic. Guest guest
I would start with 2 caps twice a day of carnaware. The studies that Dr. Chez has done do not show any risks associated with this amino acid supplement. > > I am giving my 4 year old son 2 capsules each morning in his oj and am > seeing some pretty neat results.
