Guest guest
I felt quite agitated after my 2nd dose. I also had mild chest pains and my face got a bit puffy. I waited a couple days to take my next dose.I read that though naltrexone has a short life, its metabolites have a 72hr 1/2 life. I went down from 4.5mg to 1.5mg and all was okay. I am now on 3 mgs and think that will be good. When I try to up my dose the chest pains reoccur. This might be due to a circulation problem I have; dont know. This is week 2 for me. Guest guest
About 6 months ago there were some conversations regarding a couple of people that were having some emotional problems while on LDN. I will see if I save any of their posts and send them to your direct e-mail. Aletha [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Emotional Problems Has anyone experienced any type of emotional problems? Guest guest
Hi. I've been on ldn for over two years, now and, am have a lot of emotional problems. I.E., I cry at the drop of a hat. I attribute it to menopause or even the MS but, I really don't know why this is happening. Guest guest
I had emotional issues long before LDN or MS. I cry over nothing. Always have. One doc told me that I appeared to be lacking coping skills. Supposedly, we develop these between the ages 3 - 5 based on our parental/guardian's examples. In my case that explains it. My dad was gone 1/2 the time working. My mom had issues and screamed and cried if she couldn't handle situations, which was a lot of the time. So us kids were scared of our parents. Long story short...LDN is not my emotional problem. Marcie Angie Mendez <mariposa4249@...> wrote: Hi. I've been on ldn for over two years, now and, am have a lot of emotional problems. Guest guest
Angie, I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I, too, get weepy at times when I get scared and frustrated about having MS. But LDN has not been shown to be the cause of emotional problems.
Guest guest
, don't be concerned about not getting up to 4.5 mg. Three mg. is the optimal dose for some of us. Carrue
Guest guest
This is for Marcie and everyone else with emotional problems. A chronic condition like MS or indeed any other will surely result in all of us being emotional at times or at all times. Granted, all of us have emotional issues that emanate from our childhood or life experiences too. These can impact on us in adult-hood in various ways. Spirituality is important and also a method of coming to terms with our dilemmas. I found Pranic Healing to be an amazing healing method of balancing emotions. There are hundreds of Pranic Healers around the world. Those that I have encountered are genuine, caring and helpful. Try to find one in your country or area - they are not expensive and will help you balance your emotions (even through distance healing). Its worked wonders on me and my child. The website www.pranichealing.com should help to find a healer in your area. Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Emotional Problems I had emotional issues long before LDN or MS. I cry over nothing. Guest guest
Hi, My husband had never been depressed until he found out he had MS. We tried many things. We tried counseling, a Psychologist, hypnotherapy, meditation, a few different types of anti-depressants and nothing worked. After taking LDN his physical symptoms got so much better and overall his well being was back, but not the depression in the mornings. I would have to stay with him in the mornings helping, talking to him and giving him a pep talk to get up out of bed. Once up and going he was OK. Someone on the chat site told me to have him try DLP by Solary. That did the trick. He took his first dose in the morning and when he was back from work we all noticed a more happy energy. He took his late afternoon dose too, and the next morning was the first morning I did not need to stay and talk to him for an hour. It has been since Feb. 2005 and he is still doing great. About 4 month after starting DLP he had reduced his dosage to only the morning bill and we only give him the afternoon dosage if we are trying to get him to be energetic (like for the second half of a day at Disneyland). It is found at health food stores, vitamin stores and the internet. There are some warnings (not to take with high blood pressure, or with one form of cancer). It is best to look it up on the net and find out the warnings. It is totally worth a try. Aletha Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN and Emotional Problems I had emotional issues long before LDN or MS. Guest guest
Thanks for the nice gift Skip and Cyndi that came with our prescriptions today. The Candy cane is too cute, and I will put the angel in Tom’s car to keep him safe. Happy holidays to you and yours also!!!
