Is LDN Forever or Else?........

I was told by someone today that they talked to an ER doctor of 25

years and this doctor raved about LDN, but this doctor said once on LDN

always stay on it as far as MS. Because if you go off LDN, your MS

will return and get going 100x's more progressive. Well maybe not 100

but anyway. This doctor is in holistic medicine now and this is what

he said. Anyone heard anything like this before? Could it be true?

I hate the thought of that, because none of us know if we will have to

do in the future in regards to treating our MS. Grrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks and Peace, donna

Doctor Bihari says when you go off LDN your endorphins will start to drop again

and disease progression will start taking place just like it was doing before

LDN. You won't get an aggressive acceleration of disease progression unless

your form of MS was chronic progressive when you started LDN....you'll just go

back to your former state and continue to progress if your disease is

progressive. I think the ER doctor over-exaggerated that quite a bit.

Once you start brushing your teeth, do you have to brush them every day or can you stop after a few years? I'm really tired of having to brush my teeth, can I stop? ;)

Same with a diabetic, can they stop their insulin?

Friend of mine was on it very successfully for two years for ALS but (as

reported on here a month or so ago) was already very disabled when he

started (no use of arms/hands) so having made it to seeing his only

child get married decided to come off it and let nature take its

course. He experienced quite a rapid decline for a few weeks so the LDN

was (as he knew) definitely helping him maintain a higher than expected

level of function, but now his decline has returned to pre LDN pace.

So, do people not go on LDN and progress just because they're worried

about what happens when they come off it? Sounds ar$e about to me........

When I had first contacted Dr. Zagon about my cancer, his comment was this was a for life thing.

I recently worked with a woman who had been taking LDN for cancer for over 10 years (one of the early ones). She hated taking it every day because it reminded her that she had had cancer earlier in her life. She stopped it and for about a year nothing happened. When she contacted me last spring her cancer had returned with mets in several places. She wanted to know my opinion about starting it again and I told her I thought it might be a pretty good idea. I have not heard from her since after she wrote back and could not make her mind up if she could go through the mental aspects of taking it every day and having it remind her she had once had cancer.

My question is, "With any disease such as cancer or MS, if taking one thing, once a day prevents deterioration of the disease and you are satisfied with what is happening, who cares if you take it once a day?"

The choice seems to be a rather clear cut thing where I would personally prefer to take an oral syringe of LDN once per evening for the rest of my life than loose both kidneys, go on dialysis and die within a few years a very painful, debilitating way.

I'm usually very tolerant of people's life choices, but in in this

case, I've gotta say, WTF???!!!???

She found a pill that keeps her cancer away, and she stops taking it

because IT REMINDS HER THAT SHE ONCE HAD CANCER????

If I'd had cancer, I would welcome this " reminder " . I would happily,

joyously, swallow every single dose of LDN and chase it with a glass

of expensive champagne. Then I would shout " I no longer have cancer! "

at passing cars and maybe even take off my clothes to flash my " LDN

Rocks " tattoo at passing cars.

Sheesh.

Nice to see you here, Bruce. I hope you're feeling well.

Maureen! May I join you!!!!!!!! hahaha!

I agree with all that is said here...I thought this guy is just being

negative! I mean " common sense " ....if you stop something that helps

and that something isn't a cure....then it will return whatever is

haunting you. It just kind of freaked me out when he said the doctor

said that it would be like serveral times worse if you stopped LDN.

I guess it would seem to be worse if you hadn't felt the bad in so

long. Thank you all for your in put!

I hope you are all well and doing Grand! My feet have been

numb...what's with that.

Okay...later all! Peace, donna

Yes Larry you can stop brushing them. AND even get new ones. that you don't have to brush at all! You'll just have to place them in a nice glass next to your bed at night with two tabs of efferdent! OH How funny!
