Hola Gwen,

I hate spearmint and peppermint teas so I never touched them even though they

are the only herm teas mentioned and allowed.

I have a different effect from chamomile tea. I get pain and sometimes

bloating. It does not sit well with me. I mentioned I think a few days ago

asking anyone if they drank Linden tea? This is something that is very effective

( calms down sometimes bloating) and doesn't seem to have any laxative effects

as is feared by drinking herb teas even though it in itself is an herb tea.

I put a stick of cinammon in it to make it taste less medicinal.

This is another one of those conundrums for me. Peppermint and Spearmint

really hurt my tummy, literally making pain and causing gas. But Chamomile and

others like raspberry leaf (also: scullcap, catnip, mother's milk)do me a lot

of good. They soothe my gut. Chamomile helps with sleep and raspberry leaf helps

with PMS. Is there some substantiated evidence that other herbs cause diarrhea

or a worsening of symptoms? I find herbs so much more tolerable than meds for

certain conditions. I also find that buying the tea in single herbs, like only

chamomile, and a high quality, standardized brand, does fine in my tummy. But

I'm wondering if they have been found to interfere with healing or if some

people can tolerate them.

Thanks
