Guest guest Posted August 15, 2003 Report Share Posted August 15, 2003 Hello all! I need a little help. I just went and filled Christians Zantac prescription. (Dr. H put him on it at the convention to be followed by Periactin in a month). But when I filled it, it was $50!!!! That's with my insurance. I don't think we qualify for medicaid or medicare or even SSI. Is there any suggestions of cost cutting or advice? I don't know if in one month I can afford to do both Zantac and Periactin at $50 each. I know he needs it, but I feel overwhelmed. Any advice would be incredibly helpful. The second thing is that Dr. H called our ped yesterday and told him that we need not find a ped endo (her original advice at the convention) but we need to see a ped gi. She suggested Dr. Dumont. Somehow we missed his talk at the convention. We ended up in another seminar. Anyway is there anyone in the area who goes to him? What should we expect at a first gi appt.? There's been a lot of talk recently about reflux and esophagitis(sp?). I wasn't prepared for the GI dr. so soon and I just feel a little overwhelmed.
