I had an energy burst & baked a spice cake. I even

made my own icing.........It's off to get bigger

Some people think instant grits are real grits. They are psuedo grits

really. Just warning you and I wanted you to have the real grits

experience. Have you ever seen " My Cousin Vinny " ? They have a great

grit scene.

Hi Marla- i too have been silent on this grits issue

but i do need to disagree- maybe its the southerner in

Yes plus Marisa Tome (sp) - she won the for her portrayal - plus

Ralph Machio. It was about two boys from up North who are driving to

college through the deep south and get arrested for murder. Very funny

- Pesci and Tome eat grits in a southern diner that only sells literally

" Breakfast " , " Lunch " and " Dinner " . They even use lard to fry with. I

grew up eating stuff fried in lard by my North Carolina grandmother.

Isn't that some mixture of meat and grains and herbs...mostly pork...and usually fried up like sausage patties? ....sounds ok but I don't eat pork anymore. Without my gallbladder some of that stuff doesn't sit well anymore. My fav meat is a thick ground steak hamburger with cheese and on a nice roll and maybe a few carmelized sweet onions... . Cincinnati has a big German population, or did at one

time and I believe that's where the Goetta came from.

It's sausage & oatmeal & comes in a roll like regular

sausage. It's on the Bob menu around here.
