Guest guest
Hi Eva, Many messages on this board have the authors indicating that determining a good pain med. is a trial and error process. Tylenol 3 is a common script for medium pain, it has Tylenol and codeine, I think about 750 milligrams of Tylenol and 3 milligrams of codeine. It is not likely to be habit forming if used to relieve pain. As with all narcotics, it shouldn't be taken with alcohol. I would guess your husband will need to try the T3's to see how they affect his pain and remember to work with your doctor to develop the best and most effective process. BTW the pain varies a lot too as to severity and duration. One upside to T3's is they are cheap. As with all narcotics, they are generally constipating so be sure to have a little extra water. A water target would be about 84 ounces daily and that's in addition to all normal liquids like iced tea, soft drinks, coffee, etc. Be gentle with ones self and Best wishes, Poncho - GA

Guest guest
My Ace level is continuously very high. So far they are baffled that my calcium level is o.k. since my bones are so involved. I'm not complaining! ha-ha. I would love some relief from the pain other than Lortab, but I don't think I can handle anything since in the fall I will be back to doing daycare again (anyway possible). One thing I've found works better for me than any pain meds is the OptiMSM powder. I get mine from Blue Mountain Herbs in Long Creek, OREGON. 97856 I was dependent on pain meds-- (addicted) and so even tho I have Oromorph on hand-- I stay as far away from pain meds as I can. The MSM is a natural mineral that should be in our foods. However, genetic engineering, cooking, freezing, processing, has eliminated it from our food sources. I use just a teaspoon in 1/4 cup of water, drink it down, then drink a glass of water-- and within minutes the muscle and bone pain is gone. It doe not interfer with any of my many prescription meds-- and I've not heard anyone have a reaction to it. Diane, in our ARCHIVES-- I've done several (many) posts on pain control-- and I know I've put some sites into the LINKS. Scrolldown to the bottom section of this email, and the address for the archives and links will be there and on every email that goes out.
