Guest guest
-- Our pouches can tolerate capsules and any tablet the size of an M & M or smaller. The caps melt with the liquid we swallow them with and the poweer begins to be processed. Small tablets begin to melt in the pouch and are small enough to pass through the stoma. Rev. Pam in PA OT This probably belongs on the vits&mins list, but I feel more at home here My discharge instructions say to crush all pills. Well, pouchie gags at crush pills (in any form imiginable, mixed with protein shake, jello, pudding, applesauce). I take 2 TwinLab Daily 2's, 10 TwinLab Cal Citrates and 1 Zoloft per day. Yesterday I started swallowing whole them with a bit of water, one-by-one of course. No problems. Is this ok, or am I hurting pouchie? Luckily my pain med & Zantac are liquid. I don't want to switch my vits/mins because I have my regimen all down pat. Thanks!! ~, 6 days post open medial RNY _____________________________________________________________ Laugh Loud. Staying on the topic, but at the risk of being labeled lewd, can you still swallow after surgery? Cheryl Re: OT I've always swallowed Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. I haven't checked into this site for days and when I do I find a new " alternative protein " and have spent the last few minutes in tears of laughter. Well, my rule has always been, if that protein enters my mouth I will vomit on your stomach. So I'm going to have keep looking for ways to increase my daily protein intake.
