Guest guest
I make my spanish rice with brown rice. It's not too bad if you only fry it in a little oil. I fry it in about a tbsp of oil for cup of rice uncooked. then add my onions, later my tomatoe sauce, then seasonings, then water. It makes a big skillet full in just a tbsp of oil Love, Kimra Kai Partida Re: Good morning>Date: Tue, 12 Aug 2003 12:03:56 EDT>>I like adding salsa to the water in my rice. Guest guest
Hmmm. I have never fried the rice in oil before making Spanish rice. I just added the tomato sauce and seasonings to the cooking rice. My mom's recipe and tastes great. June -- Re: Good morning I make my spanish rice with brown rice. Guest guest
Yeah, you did say you had lost 40 pounds, didn't you? What was your highest weight, and how did you lose it? I have to admit that it's been fun to go from hearing " keep running fat girl " to " wooohoooo " in the last year or so. LOL Love, Kimra Kai Partida Re: Good morning I think you are right, Kimra ... one day there is just a " click " and everything shifts into place. I'm glad that time has come for you. I think I might start running, too. I don't like riding my bike when my husband isn't along cause I don't know how to fix flats, chains, etc. Running is so easy! Hey, if I could only learn to swim I could become a triathalete! I used to run every day, rain and shine, sickness and health. It used to be one of my goals to finish a marathon one day, but I'd kind of come to think of that as a kind of painful idea! It sounds silly, but one of the things that holds me back is that I work at a high school in a small town, and I can't go out on the streets and do anything without someone coming in the next day telling me they saw me, and for some reason I feel silly going out running ... I still feel too heavy! Maybe that's why I like riding with my husband, cause we load the bikes on the car and go to a different location to do it! Anyway, congrats and keep at it! Sharon ----Original Message Follows---- I am of the opinion, that one will ot lose weight, quit smoking, leave a bad realtionship, whatever, unless they are really ready. Or else it will not work, that's why I think my mother hasn't lost weight, she's not ready. I think I am finally ready. Becuase, I wake up at 8, have breakfast... come to the library (snack on some celery) study still about 3-4 then have lunch.... I have class usually from 5 or 6 to 9pm. so when i get home its already a little past 9 and i havent had dinner. so i eat and am in bed by 1030. Is this bad? I havent lost anything and im about a week in. Im am screwing myself up? Its exam time so im basically living off coffe :-). I just didnt know if it would be ok to skip dinner cause im not really hungry when i get home, im just tired. Im not used to eating this many times a day. Hmmm any suggestions. Guest guest
Hi, I don't know why my post just disappeared while I was writing it, but anyway, if you eat breakfast at 8, you should be having your celery snack at about 10 (I'd add some cream cheese or peanut butter to it), and your lunch at around noon. Then, if you want, you could even eat your dinner at 4 PM and just have a small snack when you get in at 9. What are you eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner? ann > > Hi, I was just wondering... is there I point in the night that you > should stop eating.
