Hey Shell....The Royal Canadian Legion would likely donate one...any

larger branch. My dad was in the Legion before he passed on, and

they gave me a parade standard folded flag.....(free of course).

Contact any larger local legion in canada...vancouver, Surrey,

Calgary, Toronto or Ottawa. if you need my help...just ask.

Hugs!

Okay Di,

I need help. My house caught fire and I am doing a good deal more than

originally planned. We are all fine that sort of thing but any detail less to

think about saves me ten fold. Can you contact the Legion and let me know how it

works out? My phone lines are burned out. You can only reach me now by cell

phone. .

If you are not able to let me know andI can see if another person can take

over the task.

Thanks so Much!!! This is an incredibly important detail. One of the most

significant I would say.

Subject: House Fire

Hey ,

This has been the week from hadez. My brother in law had to have

reconstructive surgery on his face after being hit with a spring loaded

jack handle. Now let me tell you about you! First I want to thank you so

much for adopting the Route 66 Ride for a day. I always did want to be

adopted and cannot in words express how very thankful I am to you.

Because of your check I was pulled out of the house to run the errand of

getting it to into the Route 66. But girl let me tell you something.

While I was out yesterday with all three kids an electric pencil

sharpener plugged into the wall set my kitchen on fire. When I came home

I opened the front door and could not see into the house because of the

black smoke. I went to the back door and I could see the flames burning

from the counter to the ceiling. I had already called the fire dept. I

ran to the garden house disconnected it from the second house, turned

the water on soaked my self and ran into the backroom to shoot water

into the kitchen. I put the flames out and the fire dept. came and

pulled out the wall and ceiling. They put fans in the house and killed

the last embers. I will show you pictures if the generate keeps on long

enough for me to load them.

My entire house is black as charcoal. It looks like night during the day

time. I did go back and get the kids some New Easter Baskets that went

up in the fire. They were hid under the counter. We did not lose the

important things and everyone is fine. However I am living at the Great

Western Hotel. We do have insurance and we are well covered. It is just

a royal pain in the arse and bad timing. I am trying to get the power

back on so I can use my computer. I hope to have that shortly this

afternoon.

I am still working the route and sending and checking as usual for the

route. Sometimes I have to use my cell phone. We will be fine and have a

very nice Easter. It's just a whole lot of work, frustration and

inconvience but we live. Besides I need this to get less time in

purgatory you know what a rotter I am. I am the worst sinner in my

church that's why I spend so much time there.

Anyhow I am on it and not to worry. I will do my best but Sister Roseann

is going to kill me when I tell her the spider plant she gave me

literally went up in smoke. :o(.

We are enjoying the hot tub at the hotel and we will get past this

stupid stuff soon enough.
