Guest guest
Eva, that's where you should of gone from the very beginning instead of your local neurogolist. That's great news at least you'll find someone that's a whole lot smarter then the first 21 neuro's. My doctor here in St sburg was taught by one of the Mayo clinic doctors there he was his mentor in medical school. I've forgotten his name but I could find out if you're interested. He told me I could go to him if I felt I needed a second opinion. i just stuck with him and got a second from another associate there in his office. Well when do you go? soon I hope, this has to end for you............................Flora
Guest guest
In 1997, after symptoms for 4 years, I was diagnosed with Probable PLS at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Went all the way from CA to MN just to go to Mayo and had the works -- of course, I'd had them all before except the spinal tap. It was great getting all of the tests done in two days and they were super efficient. G.
Guest guest
Thats great news Eva!! One neuro told me that they will poke you and prod you there until the cows come home to find an answer to your problems. aussie maureen > > Shake your head, laugh, or cry as I did. Guest guest
Eva, Do you know who you will see?? They have a bunch of good ones. The one saw for 3-4 times was Dr Boylan, I think. He was good and took his time and listened. If he don't know your situation, he will call in whom ever you need. He finally recomended MDA . Good Luck and Byron. Guest guest
Yaaaaay!!!!! Way to go Eva! Eva,,...if THAT doen't work...we'll fly you up here to Foothills Neurological centre in Calgary and you can see my neuros. One in particular is really up on PLS. What we will do....is smudge out my picture on my medical coverage card and put yours on there. Of course....you will then have to practice signing my full name which....with PLS....may be cruel : Rosina Montague-. But hey....might be worth the hand cramps! I am happy that you get to go to Mayo Eva. I'm with ya! Love Di..............Canada > > Shake your head, laugh, or cry as I did.
