Eva,

We have a few hundred jonquils and daffodils in bloom, along with a

bit of periwinkle. Was in the 70's today. Bartlett pear trees in

full bloom, with redbud trees getting ready. A couple more warm days

will insure that everything is in full bloom when the next cold spell

with snow will arrive.

Sounds simple beautiful, Don. I'm flower bare right now. Learning

from you and Bettie Jo I had my entire back yard raised 3 1/2 ft and a

27 x 36 patio oh no excuse me the city demands it be called a pool deck

for future swim spa since a patio could only be 10 feet out. So right

now I have lots of concrete with Florida topsoil and straw on either

side. Notice the phrase Florida topsoil that would be called dirty

sand in the Carolinas. I can roll my scooter right out onto the

patio.

You'll have to keep me informed on your flowers because landscaping and

gardening will have to wait until the coffers are replenished.

Thanks

Eva

Don and Bettie Jo,

I too have hundreds of dayyys blooming. I was out both days this weekend working

and when finished decided to count species blooming in my yard. Total of 34 not

counting grasses and big trees. About five of those are pesky weeds that I have

been pulling. I need to get a couple loads of mulch to smother them out. Some

favorites right now are trillium, bloodroot and dutchman's breeches. The blue

phlox are up but too early for blooming.

The allergies are terrible but that is almost totally from the big trees not the

showy flowers.
