Guest guest
I 'm pretty sure my son has some yeast issues coming along with the chelation so I got some nystatin liquid from the pharmacy yesterday. I was getting phenol problems with the GSE and milk thistle. Hard for me to tell really if it was yeast or phenol reactions I was seeing. Anyway, I gave my son one dose. About 3 hours later he complained of a belly ache, and they had explosive diarrhea. I was afraid to give him another dose. The bottle said 4 times a day. Is this typical? Is this die off happening so fast? Should I reduce the dose, and continue? I have never used these things before. Is this now a bacterial problem? Now what? Thanks to all, nne

Was this the " regular formula " , or was it specially compounded? So far as I remember, a post from someone a while ago listed the ingredients of regular Nystatin, and it contained some high phenol flavors/colors. Check the ingredients. > Is this typical? Guest guest
I don't post much but have enjoyed and learned alot from reading this list. Yeast has been the #1 problem we have battled with my 3-year-old son. We have done courses of Diflucan twice and then kept him on Candex and GSE, always on probiotics, but the nasty yeast just comes back. We started on the Nystatin with intentions of keeping him on 4 months - no results. Last stool test showed still 3+ on yeast. He is now on Nizoral for 2 weeks with plans to repeat about every 6 weeks. There was some die off reaction for a few days, but it is working. He actually went a whole day w/o a BM, maybe it's working too well? The norm for him was 2-3 nasty BMs every day, constant rashes. I don't hear Nizoral mentioned much, but it may be something to consider???
