Dear all

I have been a silent member of this group, but I keep myself posted about all

the knowledge that you guys share.

I am extremely thankful for that

I have a small question,

I am a diabetic without meds, and I workout everyday and try diet control

Mty fasting sugagrs fluctuate betn 90-130 max.

is it ok?

also if I have to have a child will my child be a type one necessarily?

was quiet curious about that.

Can someone let me know what numbers should I have to be normal without meds?

when I was dignosed I had Fasting bg of 180 and random of 210

now I am more controlled and keep checking my numbers regularly.

regards

shilpa

I don't know the answer to your first question regarding the numbers. I think

that many doctors have different numbers in mind. Mine are for type 2 and I've

been told 80-120 fasting.

Your second question I can answer just because of a friend of mine. His father

was a type I and he has no diabetes at all. It doesn't always pass on. My

grandmother was type 2, I think, insulin dependent. Two of her children had

diabetes and two did not. My father didn't have it, though he might have been

considered to have it under today's standards.
