I found a magazine I really like and thought I would share it. It has

great low carb recipes as well as other health info and research

tidbits. I've looked thru quite a bit of diabetes type cookbooks and

couldn't really find what I called " healthy " . This one seems to fit

for me. Maybe someone else would like it as well. It's called

SheKnows Low Carb and can be seen at www.SheKnowsLowCarb.com I

don't know anything about the rest of their websites or magazines,

only this one.

My favorite magazine, so far, is called Diabetic Living. Just like the

one you mentioned, it also has recipes, research articles, exercise

tips and much more. Their web site is: www.diabeticlivingonline.com

Clara, do you have the current, Spring 2006 issue? If so, have you

tried any of the recipes? I'd like to try the Blueberry Pancakes

(pictured on the front cover).

I have that too, but I recommended the low carb one I did because most

of the diabetic recipes are not actually that great on carb levels and

their pages are filled with ads for products that really aren't that

great, full of corn syrup and other ingredients. While it does have

good tips about diabetes I don't use their recipes. On the other hand

I recommended the SheKnows Low Carb for those who are interested in

just low carb " healthy " recipes, ones without sauces, sugars, etc. I

don't find them that much different than regular recipes. I could

never eat those pancakes. SheKnows Low Carb doesn't have health tips

just for diabetes like other magazines that focus on diabetes do but

it is overall general good health. I thought I would clarify why I

recommended it.
