Guest guest
Hi Tracie, I had the same problem with my computer and had to reformat it and all.......the only good thing is that it is like new now...:-) I lost everything also, had some things backed up but not much. I have not found my address book yet.....:-( If I find any sites in my backups, I will send them to you. Guest guest
Thank you Darlene. It's appreciated. I know that I can go into the Archives and get some of them-- sounds like we both have a lot of work to do. If you haven't updated your Anti-spyware and your Virus protector, you may want to go online to Grisoft--AVG Free Virus protector and download it-- it does work well. AD-AWARE is good and free spyware. Both are updated regurally, and I've found it really helps. This time it seemed to be a power surge that wiped out my system--but at least it could be fixed. This is an old (8yr) system, and I'm running out of memory--so will have to eventually upgrade. Love ya, Tracie

Guest guest
When you said send you anything we'd bookmarked, do you mean websites that you recommended? Other than the ones in the NS Links? YES!

Guest guest
Tracie, I have just started going through all the messages for January, because I know I have missed a lot of them. I'm so sorry this happened. I'll bet you said " Darn it! " I've had a couple of friends harp on me about saving everything & one even set Sparky up to automatically update everything on a regular basis. The problem is that I have to remember to insert a zip disk or CD-rom, which I only remember about every two years. So if Sparky really blew a gasket, I'd lose photos, email, files, everything. Oh, well, probably won't happen. When you said send you anything we'd bookmarked, do you mean websites that you recommended? Other than the ones in the NS Links? I actually intended to start from the newest messages & work my way back, but somehow started at the beginning. That was good, because then I read this message! But now I'm going to go to the most recent posts & see what I've missed. Hope you had a great vacation & have some fantastic photos to look at for months ahead.
